| Following formal studies in Art, Design
and Sculpture, Master Carver Mike Davies decided to specialise in the
carving of Welsh Lovespoons. Now 35 years later, Mike's work can be found
in collections throughout the world. Mike is a recognised leader in his
field and produces work to the highest level, each piece lovingly carved
and polished to a fine finish. For a Welsh Lovespoon to be authentic, traditionally it must be carved by hand from a solid piece of wood i.e. no joins or additions and Mike works strictly within this tradition. (His spoons are not be confused with the many mass produced factory made spoons). A great deal of Mike's time is spent on specially commissioned lovespoons that are specifically designed for the person or persons concerned. Two very notable examples have been for :-
